    ro bradshaw

Ro Bradshaw graduated with a BA in anthropology and a BFA in painting from Dunedin School of Art.  Ro’s art explores the potential of waste material and addresses a variety of themes, in particular the effect of consumption and tourism on the Otago environment.

Ro uses commercial and industrial waste products in her large abstract landscapes. In her smaller still life and landscape works, she uses roadside rubbish collected from State Highway 6 in Central Otago.  This rubbish is sorted, cleaned and collaged under printed transparencies to make up the artwork.  Ro’s work is held in national and international collections.

Ro and Megan Huffadine coordinate New Art @ Old Cromwell, a series of art workshops held annually in early March in the Cromwell Heritage Precinct.
